What A Fun Day!

There were so many teams from so many places. Each brought their own style of play and traditions. Although, the team that brought that 'sticky ball' really went over the top. It seemed to be everywhere. I catalogued some of these unique styles via photographs.

Stay tuned. I will be posting pictures very soon. Don't weep bitterly if your team is missing or not well covered. This is only day one and I keep a mental inventory of who needs more pictures taken.

Please take just a couple minutes to read my comments on editing right here.
The dreaded 'sticky ball'.
Sticks to any surface...

We can't be entirely certain, but we suspect the 'sticky ball' was brought in on the knee brace of one of the Oklahoma Jitterbugs players. (Shown in photo)

It was seen, and captured on camera, in many other places throughout the day.

Later in the morning, the 'sticky ball' attached itself to this Tennessee Edge player's bat. (Which was bent from the furious attempts to shake it off)
It can neither be shaken or knocked off
A time of fellowship...
Today was also a time of fellowship. Here, two players from different states take time to introduce themselves. (Of course, the runner is breaking the second base player's leg with her foot, but it's all in good fun!)
In what I can only describe as one of the more impressive displays of confidence and proficiency, this Florida player could actually inspect her nails while pitching! Absolutely amazing...
Multi-tasking Patriot
Able to shake free 'sticky ball'
After trying for several minutes, this player from North Carolina, (Panic still visible in her expression) was able to shake free the 'sticky ball'.
Finally, this Florida player, unprovoked by anyone covering the base or even throwing a ball anywhere near her, evidently decided to slide into second for no other reason than, "Because I can..."

Sometimes, you just gotta slide into second... Because you can...

"Just 'Cuz... I can..."
"Just...because I can..."
I know I implied in the last picture comments that it was the last one but I am posting one more, simply because I can. (That's the really cool thing about having your own web site.) Actually, this is a cool picture of an East Cobb, Georgia player and I felt like posting it.

So there... :-)

I hope my wacky sense of humor hasn't offended anyone. This is a LOT of fun for me and I can tell that all of you enjoy the tournaments as well.

More pictures will be added as the week goes on, so check back until I tell you all the pictures have been posted.

This is a pretty good-sized event and I will try do get to everyone.

Enjoy your stay with us in Hendersonville!

See you on the field...
