I would need the eloquence of a Shakespeare to fully articulate how frustrated I am at having to shoot half of your games on these Metro fields. It is truly a fool's errand.
My equipment is the best that can be purchased on planet earth. It is the same gear used by the very top sports photographers shooting for SI etc... There is nothing available anywhere for any price that can shoot in low light any better. But, even the best of equipment has limitations.
I wish I could deliver to you the kind of shots I am capable of producing.
Below are two shots, taken 24 hours apart with the same gear. (I have added setting for those of you who know "PhotoSpeak') The first was taken at Overton, where the light was so low that the auto focus didn't even work most of the time. (ISO 10,000, 1/500, 400mm, f/2.8) The second shot was taken at LP Field. (ISO 2500, 1/1000, 400mm, f/2.8)
Anyway... I'll keep trying... I'll get what I get...
